Edinburgh Fringe 2026 Jobs
Country Mile Productions are hiring! We are looking for an Assistant Producer, Production Assistant and Marketing Coordinator to join our small but perfectly-formed team for the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe.
We are bringing 17 shows to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, a curated roster ranging from stand-up and sketch to theatre and character comedy.
If you’re an organised, confident, hands-on, hard-working team player, and very passionate about live comedy, then we’d love you to get in touch!
Please send us your CV and a short cover letter to contact@countrymileproductions.co.uk, telling us your previous relevant experience, what live comedy excites you and what you think would make you the best person for either position.
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until May 17 2026.
More information on both roles below:
ASSISTANT PRODUCER
The Assistant Producer will be the second point-of-contact across the Fringe with our performers, venues, PR teams, agents and technicians. You’ll be expected to regularly liaise with our performers, including offering pastoral care wherever necessary.
You will be expected to assist during turnarounds between some of our shows, potentially provide stage management support if required, and regularly attend our shows.
We will also work closely with you and our Marketing Coordinator on creating dynamic marketing strategies, and designing and updating social media posts throughout the month - experience with Canva or Photoshop is desirable, but not essential.
You will be an integral part of our little Country Mile community in Edinburgh - we are a small-but-dedicated gang, and we want to make sure everyone feels equally valued - from our production staff to our artists, our street team to our technicians.
Previous experience of working in live comedy or events is required for this role.
You must be a minimum of 18 years old on or before 31st July 2026. You will need to work flexibly from August 2-31 (availability to be discussed at interview stage), generally around 7-8 hours a day, including at least 2 days off, the dates of which are TBC. You will also need to arrange your own accommodation in the city.
The fixed fee is £3100, plus bonuses and venue passes where available.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
The Production Assistant will work across all aspects of Country Mile’s Fringe output - it’s a great opportunity for someone to gain experience in the live comedy industry.
As well as general production duties, such as assisting during turnarounds, regularly attending our shows, and liaising with performers and venues, the Production Assistant is responsible for managing and scheduling our small team of flyerers, offering regular support and being their first point-of-contact throughout the month. You will need to take pastoral care of the team, as well as liaising directly with our performers about their flyering preferences. You will be responsible for printing and gluing flashes to posters, and will be expected to assist the Street Team Manager where necessary too, with designing, printing and stapling ‘flashes’ to flyers.

Previous experience in live comedy is not required for this role, but some experience of working in the arts is preferable, and a love of comedy is essential!

MARKETING COORDINATOR
The Marketing Coordinator will be in charge of marketing our shows across the month in Edinburgh. You will be responsible for planning and creating dynamic marketing strategies, including video and photo content, designing and updating social media posts throughout the month, and you will lead our team of flyerers promoting our shows on the ground.
You will be responsible for training our street team, organising rotas, and designing, printing and collecting flashes. Our street team is an integral part of our little Country Mile community in Edinburgh. As well as personally managing the team members, you will need to track and log each show’s street team and flashes spends throughout the month, and handle the street team’s invoices. You may also be required to flyer yourself where necessary. Previous experience of flyering is not essential, but is desirable.
Experience with Canva or Photoshop is essential. As you will be at the forefront of promoting our shows, you will need to be confident, friendly, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a strong communicator, with a keen interest in live comedy.
